Trevor Sikorski is a trombonist, bandleader, and music educator based in Montgomery, Alabama. From 2021 to 2024, he served as the leader of the Glenn Street Band, a prominent jazz ensemble in the River Region. In addition to his work with the Glenn Street Band, Trevor has contributed to the local music scene as the musical booking agent for Prevail Union and performs as the lead trombonist with the 151st Army Band's Youngbucks Brass Band as well as the Auburn Knights Big Band.
A graduate of Huntingdon College, Trevor is a dedicated performer with a versatile career that spans across jazz, brass, and contemporary music. His experience includes a wide range of performances and collaborations in various settings, from military functions to jazz festivals. In his most recent project, Trevor is actively involved with the Montgomery Jazz Alliance, a collective focused on reviving the region’s jazz scene through jam sessions, performances, and educational initiatives. With a passion for both performing and teaching, Trevor continues to enrich the cultural landscape of Central Alabama through his contributions to music and education.
Joe Lauziere is a versatile guitarist and bassist currently based in Millbrook, Alabama. Originally from the Boston area, Joe has established himself as an accomplished performer, educator, and musician. He has studied at the prestigious Berklee College of Music and has performed with a variety of jazz and commercial ensembles across the South. Joe's musical expertise spans multiple genres, and he regularly plays in both jazz and commercial settings, contributing to the vibrant music scene in the region; most recently as bassist for Ben Wheldon's "Fountain City Players."
In addition to his performance career, Joe is a dedicated educator, teaching guitar and bass while sharing his deep understanding of jazz theory. He is a regular member of the Montgomery Jazz Alliance, where he not only performs as a multi-instrumentalist but also functions as the group's resident jazz theory expert. Through MJA's educational outreach performances, Joe helps students of all ages understand the intricacies of jazz and its cultural significance. His contributions as a performer and educator make him a vital part of the River Region's growing jazz community.
Tim Stuart, a fiery saxophonist and pianist from Staunton, Virginia, kicked off his musical journey at just 16, performing R&B, Soul, and Funk—styles that set the foundation for his dynamic career. His versatility quickly caught the attention of both military ensembles and civilian artists, leading to collaborations with icons like Craig Morgan, Michael Lington, the NATO Jazz Orchestra, the US Army Blues, and the Rebirth Brass Band.
Now based near Montgomery, AL, Tim wears many musical hats. He serves as saxophonist and musical director for the high-energy Gumptown Brass Band, and plays saxophone, piano, and percussion with the Virginia based roots-rock band Who Shot John where he's featured throughout their latest 2024 album release Cut No Switch. A Musical Performance Team Leader and Senior Non-Commissioned Officer in the 313th U.S. Army Band, Tim also balances a vibrant freelance career. From corporate events and weddings to dueling piano shows and solo performances under "Solo Sax Live!," Tim’s eclectic style and technical prowess make him a go-to performer across the Southeast and beyond.
Not just a performer, but also an accomplished composer and arranger, Tim's works have been featured in military and civilian recordings and productions worldwide, including for the US Department of Defense and North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Bridgewater College and a Graduate Certificate in Business from Liberty University, with advanced training from the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army Schools of Music, where he earned instructor qualifications on both saxophone and piano. As an educator, Tim runs a private studio, offering lessons in classical & jazz saxophone, piano, as well as improvisation and production techniques. He also provides consulting services and masterclasses to help students and musicians of all ages and abilities refine their skills and pursue their passion for music.
